| We have kept pet chipmunks for several years now so we would like to share the experience and enjoyment we have gained while keeping our pet chipmunks, also while you are here why not get to know our chipmunks | ||
| Pet Chipmunks; | ||
| What are chipmunks? Well chipmunks are ground living squirrels they do clime but they also dig and often have complex tunnel structures, in some country chipmunks have a bad reputation as they can under mine buildings. |

| Where do chipmunks normally live in the wild? Well this would depend on the exact type or speeches of chipmunks as there are breeds found in America from mexico to canada, there are also chipmunks found in Rusher and east Europe. |

| Are chipmunks good as pets? This would depend the person looking after them, as they do take time like any pet, but chipmunks don't really become truly tame yes you can get them to sit on you hand, but most pet chipmunks don't like being confined e.g. picked up, and when threatened even the tame ones will bite, saying that I have only ever been bitten twice and both times I was having to pick up and handel the chipmunk, ( I now use gloves when the need arrives for me to do this again). But if you have the time to look after them and befriend them they will give you hours of fun watching them. As they like to jump they can jump quit large distances and run fast, so they are not pets that could be called a cuddly. With the avery we have it give great pleaser for us to watch them and to interact with them in there space, there are some people how let the run around the house but I don't as I would be to afraid of them escaping, as I have had some of them escaping from an indoor cadge before. Chipmunks have a very good ability to escape so you need to factor this in to any design of enclosure for them. I also think it best to get as much advice on keeping a pet e.g. what its like, what is involved eta. before buying any pet not just chipmunks. |

| In all the years I have been keeping pets there one piece of advice I must give and that is if anything looks wrong or you think your pet is not well and that is seek vet assistance ASAP. | ||
